This year’s event, held in collaboration with the Earagail Arts Festival, drew large crowds of all ages for a family fun-filled day of live music, art, and good fun.
A staggering 25 young bands and solo artists took to the Paul Mooney Stage, captivating audiences with their talent and passion.
From festival face painting to interactive art workshops, sports activities, and intercultural dance performances, there was truly something for everyone. The park was transformed into a joyful celebration of youth, creativity and community spirit.
Frankie McGreevy, manager at Donegal Youth Service and the original organiser of the first Party in the Park over two decades ago, expressed his pride in the young performers. He said:
“The Party in the Park has been an invaluable creative platform for our local youth, having showcased promising young talent throughout the years. It takes real bravery to step up on stage, and the young people truly shone.”
This year’s celebration also had a special cross-border feel, welcoming talented young musicians not just from Donegal, but from Counties Louth and Armagh as well, furthering the OUR Generation Project’s mission of building positive relations across communities under the PEACEPLUS programme. Members of the OUR Generation team at Co-operation Ireland also attended and hosted an arts and crafts workshop for children and young people.
A huge well done to the team at Donegal Youth Service and to everyone who came out to support the event and helped celebrate the energy, creativity, and potential of our young people.
