What is it?
A fun and engaging 4 week programme delivered to a group of selected children from P6 & P7.
The aim of the programme is to help children become better listeners with a view to supporting each other, respecting difference and recognising that kindness, empathy and friendship can be pivotal in developing an overall good level of wellbeing.
Selected teachers from each school will be trained by our team to deliver the programme (one half day session + MHFA certification) beyond the projects timeframe – ensuring the legacy of the Better Together Programme continues for years to come.
Learning Outcomes
- Recognise the link between good mental health & our ability to be a good friend to others
- Know when to ask for support and who to speak to
- Demonstrate the ability to be an active listener
- Identify and understand the key role of kindness, positivity and gratitude in relationships with others
- Identify what a community is and understand the importance of diversity and inclusion
- Display Improved relationship skills

- Session 1 – Mental Health, Active Listening & Body Language
- Session 2 – Positivity, Kindness & Gratitude
- Session 3 – Empathy & Friendship
- Session 4 – Diversity Inclusion & Community (Finishing with Certificate presentation)
